Wonderful 1964-65 vintage F.E. Olds and Son Olds Special model L-10 trumpet (Serial No. 468388- my research indicates Olds Specials #\'d 450000 thru 500000 were manufactured between February 1964 and February 1965 but I encourage you to research this yourself as well). Horn is complete with mouthpiece (see below description of mouthpiece as I do not believe this is one that came stock on this trumpet).

*This horn has a 3 tone Brass-nickel-copper finish. The bell flare is copper (Rose Brass). The original shiny lacquer finish on this horn is 50-60% intact in my opinion but please see photographs for yourself. The finish shows wear throughout but the horn still has a nice shine to it overall.

*It has been polished but due to its condition I didn\'t attempt to clean it. It would be a great project for refinishing if that\'s what you\'re interested in, or even nice for vintage display in its current condition.

*The bell is engraved \"Olds Special F.E. Olds & Son Fullerton Calif.\" with a nice ribbon pattern. There are some dents and dings from normal use and age along with a little surface rust (please see photographs). Horn is complete and plays great as to be expected from a mid-60s vintage Olds, it is free-blowing with a rich tone.

I am not a musician or an instrument expert by any means, so please rely on pictures as well as description before offerding. It comes exactly as shown in photos.

Olds is a trusted name for quality musical instruments and this would be a great purchase for a player, Olds collector, or someone interested in refinishing and reselling for a higher profit. Make an offer on this great American classic!

The mouthpiece on this trumpet is a \"Vincent Bach Corp. Mt. Vernon NY 10-3/4 CW\". In silver plate. According to the Bach manual available on their website:

• the standard finish on all Bach mouthpieces is silver plate;

• 10-3/4 CW: Medium Depth of Cup;

• Approx. 15.75 mm cup diameter;

• Extra wide rim shape with \"cushion rim for players with thick, fleshy lips who are accustomed to using much pressure\"; and,

• \"There is no easier-blowing mouthpiece with such voluminous & brilliant tone\".

According to The Vintage Horn.com:

• \"the sought after vintage Vincent Bach Corp. MT Vernon 10-34cw trumpet mouthpiece from the early 1960\'s was commonly used by Jazz musicians modeled after the 17C1 used by Clifford Brown when playing his Blessing Super Artist Trumpet\"
