Vintage 1910's/1920's/1930's very rare and hard to find complete metal dome top lunchbox with a leather handle and complete Thermos.This coal miner black metal steel tin lunch boxhas the original 3 part Thermos. The lunchbox is embossed on the bottom "Thermos, Pat. Sep. 16, 1919". The very heavy Thermos bottom is embossed with "Stainless Steel, Thermos Vacuum Bottle, Model No. 2264S, Stopper No. 764, Pint Size, B 73, Thermos Division - King Seeley KST Thermos Co., Macomb, Ill., U. S. A.". The Thermos has the black plastic screw-in stopper plug and the green/blue aqua turquoise screw-on drinking cup lid. The lunchbox has a leather carrying strap handle stamped "Thermos".The inside metal has a shiny gold finish.The lid is factory vented (6 vents) under the leather handle. The lunchbox is in very good complete condition including the pivoting thick metal Thermos holder with spring-loaded lock and both outer locking clasps. It shows use wear and great patina.
