Here is a vintage Detroit GMC 4-71 blower. This just came out oflong term storage out of an old hot roddersgarage where it was been for 25 years.It is dirty.This unit is in good shape. It appears to be complete with both end covers which are usually missing. There is no cracks or damage anywhere on the case. It spins overnice and tightwith no problems. All of the mountingholes and bossesare in good shape with no cracks or damage. The rotors look to be in good shape with no damage. Most of the early hot rods that you see were running a 4-71 blower. This is one of the hardest to find of the roots style Detroit blowers. Nothing screams muscle and horsepower like a blower assembly!
