Vintage Child\'s Desk by manufacturer EASTMAN LANE
Constructed of oak, some quarter-sawn. Truly beautiful
This little roll top desk was built for a child. But it is not in any way a toy. This is a quality built piece of furniture. This desk is made with Oak wood. There is a single drawer. The drawers are assembled with rabbet joints. The side panels on this desk are inset, flat. This si one of my favorite details....the side panels add strength, and enhance the appearance of the unit. The interior has some nice cubby\'s for keeping things orderly. The label located on the inside bottom of the back panel reads \"Eastman Line Childrens furniture\" The Eastman MFG. Co. Inc was based in Union city Pennsylvania.
This little roll top measures approximately 26 3/4 inches wide, 15 1/4 inches deep, and stands 34 inches tall.
The overall condition of this desk is very good, it has a good solid feel. Excellent patina on the finish.
This little Oak roll top desk will make a great addition to any playroom, collection, or playhouse furnishings.
