Vintage Apple Lisa 2 - LISA OS - Apple Lisa 1 Style Mouse, Keyboard - Profile :
$2555.00

Working Apple Lisa 2, with LISA OS. The LISA features a working early style mouse, working early style keyboard with pullouts, and working profile drive.
Included is the Lisa 7/7 3.1 Complete Office System box, and manuals. The software is not included. The box, and box sleeve is worn. I can\'t include any additional photos. If you would like some-morephotos, please message me.
This is not a Macintosh XL. It was never modified with the square pixel mod, or updated ROM\'s. It runs the Lisa OS. It also has the 400k drive, with the Lisa Lite card adapter.
Like most of the Lisa 1\'s and Lisa 2\'s, this one had the square battery pack, which was not removed until it started leaking. The battery\'s caused corrosion. Three of the small tracings behind the battery pack were corroded. I neutralized the acid, cleaned the boards, replaced the missing solder mask. I also ran three new wires on the back side of the board to repair the three broken tracings.I greased the 400k drive with lithium grease, and operated it with a cleaning disk. I found a MacWorks disk boot disk, and booted the floppy into Macintosh emulation. I don\'t have a system disk for MacWorks, but it booted just fine using a Macintosh 128k disk that I had handy. So, I can verify that the floppy disk works. I have not tested the read/write functions.
I replaced the foam pads in the keyboard with used ones, in better condition. Well, considering Apple\'s foam pads disintegrate at the slightest touch, anything is better. One of the keys from the keyboard was missing when I purchased it. I made a replacement keycap by using a key stem from another key from the same manufacturer, and a Macintosh 128k keycap. I used a two part plastic epoxy adhesive to hold the replacement system in place. The replacement key works, but it\'s not the exact keycap. I can make one with the right style of keycap using a Macintosh 128k numeric keypad. I did not feel like purchasing one, just to destroy it for a single keycap. If it\'s important to the buyer, I can make another one.
When I purchased the computer, the plastic piece that is connected to the back panel, which engages the interrupt switch, was broken during shipping. I repaired it using the same two part plastic repair adhesive. It works fine, and appear to be solid. Unfortunately, it might come loose during shipping again.
Once or twice during testing, the power light failed to illuminate, when turning the computer on. The computer still powered on, the light just did not turn on. I think that I did not push the power switch all the way in. The bulb could also be going out. They are pretty easy to replace.
Some of the metal parts in the computer have some corrosion, some from the battery leaking, others probably from storage.
The computer has some yellowing, which is due to age.
I did not test the serial connectors on the motherboard. I did not have any desire to hook up a printer. So, I can\'t verify that they are working.
If you\'re interested in purchasing the computer, please only offer if you\'re comfortable making basic adjustments on this machine. During shipment, the pots on the video board might come out of adjustment, or the CRT yoke might move out of alignment. In addition, some board or chips might need to be reseated. The computer is quite heavy.
