Up for sale is a vintage LF&C Company Universal Model Number 1 Food Chopper or Grinder. It is a hand crank instrument made out of cast iron with a wooden handle. It is made to attach to a table as is shown in the first photo.
Food is inserted at the top. This unit includes two different attachments as shown in the final picture. The attachment at the top is marked as a Bread Crumber. These attachments fasten on at the end of the chopping unit with a wingnut as shown.
The unit is marked all over its surface with patent dates from the late 1800\'s and various locales. The LF&C company is marked at the top of the unit near the opening and reads \"LF&C New Britain, Conn. U.S.A\"
The entire unit is in the same condition as it was found. I have not attempted to clean it or use it. The crank turns freely.
