This is a very nice vintage Craftsman single bit axe on a premium octagonal handle with a leather sheath. The total weight without the sheath is 4 pounds 8 ounces. The stamp is nice and clean and easy to read. I believe the head was made by Mann Edge Company. The bit sharpened and polished up nicely. Since the original handle was missing, I hung the head on a 32\" premium octagonal white hickory handle that was hand sanded before being coated with five coats of boiled linseed oil. The axe comes with a newer sheath. Please ask any questions you might have prior to offerding.
