A good increment core is essential for forestry personnel. The tool is used to extract a cylindrical core of wood tissue for examination and aging. The same process is used for aging and sampling timbers from old buildings. This is a design that has changed very little in the last 20 years. A new increment core today will set you back over $200.00. This one is in great working condition and is ready to be used. It was my personal unit when I worked as a forest technician.
