This is an older garciaMitchell 300 Open Face Spinning Reel that was part of an estate. Garcia Mitchell was the innovator of the open face spinning reel and the Mitchell 300 has proven itself as one of the best medium action fishing reels for many years. This reel is marked \"Made in France\" on the back and \"France\" on the line spool. It has been used and has some \"boat rash\" (missing paint) but works great. The bail spring is strong, the bail releases easily when cranked and the anti-reverse switch operates properly. It is as I found it and could use a good cleaning.
