For sale is a Vintage General Electric TubeRadio, Model 402, circa 1950 / 1951.

This was an estate find, so I don’t know too muchabout this piece or if it works. I don’t have the proper tools or know-how totest it so I am saleing it strictly AS-IS.This radio currently doesn’t work (no hum or lights). I am offering it for restoration / repair orfor parts.

This piece has the kinds of dings and scuffs you wouldexpect from a vintage piece and the face plate is cracked (pictured). This piece can use a good light cleaning butI didn’t do anything to the surface as I know collectors like to determine whatneeds done. The knobs seem to beoriginal and work as they should.

I took pictures with and without flash to try tocapture the most details.

I occasionally get asked if I will‘part-out’ or sell parts to a radio. Theshort answer is ‘no’.While I appreciate that you may just need that one part, this onlyleaves me with an even less functional radio and someone else will have toreplace the part you now have.
