A very nice Japanese made straight razor. Yamada western style straight razors are somewhat hard to find. They are best known for their Kamisori razors. A full 6/8\" wide heavy, shoulder-less blade. I would classify the grind as a half hollow. Shiny, no pitting or rust and scalpel sharp. Razor has lower jimps and is tight and centers in the scales. The scales are shiny, no scratches or cracks. The Japanese really know how to manufacture top quality cutlery, using the finest steel.
This particular razor is in \"very good\" condition. See the pictures for the details. The blade is honed on a progression of 4k, 8k, 12k and stropped on 1/2um diamond pasted strop, followed by linen and leather.
Razor will be shipped with the blade treated with white mineral oil to prevent corrosion during shipping.
