Thisis vintage M-S-A FIRST AID KIT/ Mine Safety Appliances Co First AidKit Pittsburgh PA metal box Case. It is very vintage (1940\'s orearlier). Made in USA.

Thisset contains the items that a Miner might have taken underground withhim. It is called 10 unit - type D. Metal box marked \" First AidKit. Property of US Government\" and has the locks and the handleon the top and the hinge at the back of the box.

Contentsof the box are Including:

-4\"compress bandage

-1\"adhesive compresses

-4\" triangular bandage

-Burn treatment

-2 ammonia inhalants

-Wire adhesive compresses.

Cardboardinternal boxes have Mine Safety logo on lids and instructionaldiagrams on the side.

Accordingto the list on the internal lid, there are some boxes missingincluding a one box for 2\" compress bandage, iodine brushes, aswell as a tourniquet and forceps.

Composition:Metal, 4 3/4\"Widex7 ½ \"Long.

Condition: Good vintage condition. Metal box shows wear includingscratches and surface rust on outside of box. The Mine Safety boxesitself has some paint loss. It is in overall very good vintagecondition. No restoration, as found.
