Rare Raleigh 555 SL Super Course 12 speed, vintage 1983 with serial #: 3A02682 (stamped on bottom bracket). Emblem indicates frame built with Raleigh 555 SL double butted chrome moly tube, designed/engineered in America, and made in Japan. All quality components that include: Sakae/Sugino custom crank, ARX derailer original aluminum Araya Rims 27\" x 1\" wide, 36 spoke, sealed hubs, Dia-compe brakes, and SR Sp-152 pedals Engraved Raleigh alloy handlebars with foam grips and a Laprade seat post. Bike measures 31 1/2\" high to seat tube, frame is a 21 1/2\" and weighs approx. 26 lbs. Black with gold trim. Condition: Bike was inspected by local bike shop and found to be in excellent mechanical condition with the exception that the derailleur might need replacing or repair. Was also told new tires are needed. Cosmetically bike in very good condition, chrome is in excellent condition but paint shows wear with a moderate amount of marks and scratches. Foam grips have a small split on one side due to age. Seat has a few surface marks but otherwise in very good condition, no tears.
