VINTAGE REALISTIC 393 RADIO SHACK REEL TO REEL TAPE RECORDER Made in Japan ... Has some age and wear, but doesn\'t look bad (except for the plastic cover which is broken off from reel cover area>>> Pictured next to tape recorder). Takes smaller 3 inch wide reels. Has some working batteries in it and when knob is turned reel knobs do move. Can\'t tell if it works because I have no tape reels to try it with, so I don\'t know if it works, other than reel knobs move when control knob is turned. Tried pushing down red button and turning control knob to record, but red button doesn\'t stay down, so I don\'t know if that means it won\'t record or not, not sure how it works. On Back it says \"Made in Japan 2929\". Measures 11 3/4 inches tall by 8 3/8 inches wide by 2 7/8 inches deep. Uses 4 size D 1.5 volt batteries (included in sale). Space for a plug inside battery area, I think. Plug on side area for microphone, earplug or headphones, and 6v adapter.
