This is a lovely vintage hand bellmade by Rowland Mayland, the first American company to produce tuned musical bells.

It stands just under 9\" tall and is 5\" in diameter. It has a leather strap covering the metal handle and a leather collar on the top of the bell which reads: RH Mayland / Maker / B\'klyn, N.Y. I think this was produced before1916 because the company changed names after his death.

Condition: The clappers are missing the felt pads. The leather handle has a tear. The metal body has discoloration. The bell makes a loud and clear sound with a long resonance.
