Vintage Russian Rooster or Chicken Samovar Electric Heavy Works:
$199.99

This is an amazing piece. It is a samovar that is a chicken or rooster. The rooster\'s head is the spigot and it\'s comb is the handle that opens and closes the control valve. The handles of the samovar have some detailing the make them look like wings, and there is a metal tail on the back.I believe this samovar is Russian based on the writing around it. It says \"CAMOBAP KUNUT-yXOAUTb He BeAUT\" around the center of the piece. I have tried using online translators, and they are unable to translate it. I am assuming this is because I have an American English keyboard, and I am missing expression marks when I type it.The samovar is made of metal and is quite heavy weight in at six pounds before I put it in a box for shipping. It is over seven pounds when packaged in a large enough box to hold it for transport. This item came with an European style plug in. I will include the American current adapter that I purchased to test to see if the samovar works. Speaking of that, the Samovar does heat up when plugged in. The spigot pours when opened and does not appear to leak when shut. I did not have the Samovar full of water at the time. The lid fits very tightly on the top of the samovar. The metal is in good condition with some wear. There is also wear on the inside of the body of the pot. Please take a look at the pictures for details. It measures approx 14 inches tall when the lid and heating top for resting a teapot is placed on top. The circumference of the pot is between 24 1/2\" and 25\" not including the handles. I cannot get a more accurate measurement due to the handles. It measures approx. 11 1/2\" from the tip of the beak of the spout to the end of the tail.If you would like to combine shipping, I will do my best to combine all items won within a seven day period. Let me know as soon as you win your first item so I know to wait to invoice you. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.Returns accepted so long as item is returned in original, as shipped condition. Return postage is buyer\'s responsibility. Items sold as is, where is.
