The specifications I believeare:160watts (IHF) at 8ohms or 4 x 27wattsper channel (RMS) at 8 ohms in 4 channel mode. It does not specify RMS watts in2ch mode, I\'m guessing in 2 ch mode the Sansui QR-6500must be at around50 to 60watts per channel (RMS)at8ohms. In any case this receiverhassome punch!If you want real vintage this is it!This unit has beenServiced,with all burnt out Lamps replaced andVU meter still working fine.The face dial lights, VU meter light, functionlightsincluding 2/4 chindicator lights and pointer light all work.The metal face is in minty condition withno scratches ordings to speak about andthe lettering still perfect! The pots have all been cleanedwith all controls free of any noise with no imbalance between any of the channels. Although this receiverhas theoption of operatingin 2 - 4 channel or in Quad mode, however it has a total of8 speaker terminals connections and all8speaker terminals work.Keep in mind, in most of the sales selling these Quad receivers you don\'tsee thismentioned at all, you be lucky to finda Quadreceiverwith 4 speakers working let along all10 speakers.I\'ve have tested this receiver with a CD player connected to pair of 250w Infinity speakers anditsound great without lacking in volume. Allthe knobson the unit still look great along withit\'s originalwood case which has been touch up and re-stained.The inside of the unit isvery cleanwithnostains or rust to speak about.I would say that thisunit willlook justbeautiful sittingin any living room.The receiver pulls in AM & FM stations strong with just a piece of wire connected in the back, you may need more than a little wire depending on your location. All connectors and functionat therear are in great condition. I have given you my best assessment on the condition of this unit. However, keep in mind that this thing is 40 or more years old, so there are no guaranteesand is Sold AS Is. Instructions/Service Manual is included.
