Vintage Scuba 1950\'s BALL COMPASS from U.S. Divers - Very Unique, Very Neat!!
These were common in the 1950\'s and 1960\'s. They appear in the very old Aqua-Lung catalogs.
This is the quite collectible Clear Ball Diver Compass and this one is in great condition compared to most.They were not exactly rugged and many either broke or lost their oil and were discarded.
This one has lost some of the oil but you can easily clean and refill the ball by removing the O-Ring sealed bolt on the top and filling with a syringe.The compass card is fine, perfectly legible with the words \"U.S. Divers\" and \"Made In France\" printed on it.All of the compass points are also clean and clear.The plastic ball is in good shape too. It has some scratches from use of course but is still very clean and clear.The black Lubber Line is solid; the chain is good; the screw is corrosion-free and the O-Ring seems good too.
Not sure if Mike Nelson of Sea Hunt ever used one of these but it\'s the right time frame.Regardless it\'s a really interesting addition to your vintage scuba collection or class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;\"> IMPORTANT!!
