Very rare metal clarinet with mother-of-pearl plateaus covering keys. Adjustable barrel tunes with a twist. Clarinet comes with a Buffet Crystal Mouthpiece -- like new.Part of the liquidation sale from the old SILVER CLARINET SITE (still searchable on the internet, but hasn\'t been updated for years). This is one of the private collection clarinets finally for sale (see other listings).This clarinet plays well with a mixture of pads -- mostly brown or white leather. Mouthpiece, ligature, cap, case, and a couple of vintage reeds are included. Ready to play. The bell and barrel come off, but the middle joint doesn\'t come apart easily -- and I wouldn\'t want to force it, but the clarinet is designed to come apart into four pieces in order to put it into a regular clarinet case. A metal clarinet case is included and the clarinet fits it nicely. There are no significant defects -- dings, scratches, or plating wear are very minimal. Great condition for a very old antique clarinet. ONE KEY IS STUCK, and that could be resolved, but it might be that way on purpose -- it is the very key that Artie Shaw sometimes removed from his clarinet and pluged the hole because he thought the key was unnecessary and just got in the way -- in other words, this clarinet plays great as it is because there are several ways to play the note that the key in question would be used for. A technician should be able to easily get the nuisance key unstuck if you choose to.
