Vintage Southeast Asia Vietnam Montagnard Sword Knife Dagger Dha Burma Burmese LaosDescription: Up for sale is a sword brought back as a souvenir from the Vietnam War. The blade has no nicks nor rust. The wooden scabbard is bound with 9 copper bands which have darkened with age. The scabbard has no wood loss but it has been scraped in numerous places. The handle is wrapped with a greenish cord; there is a copper cap on it; and an aluminum disc is attached to the end with 3 brads. The overall length is approximately 35 1/2 inches and the blade is approximately 20 2/3\" long. There are designs on each side of the blade near the spine, and filed designs on the top of the blade.Similar to a Japanese samurai katana or Laotian tribesman handmade machete that would have been brought back by Special Forces, MACV or Rangers from Cambodia , Laos or Vietnam
