Flute is madeby the Selmer Co, Elkhart, Indiana, USA in firm\'s special signet design with NO monogram. Firm was established in 1885 as the Henri Selmer & Cie Co., founder Henry Selmer died in 1941. Likely made while Henry was still active. Firm later incorporated 1989 asConn-Selmer Inc. That\'s as much I know about maker as I\'m better with researching various jewelry makers than musical instrument makers. Plays beautifully withbetterqualitysounding acoustics compared to several other flutes I have played. The coin silver flute with itssterling silverrod, weighs exactly 443.8 grams (14.11 troy oz). It\'s very wellmade with veryimpressive smith workmanship.
