This sale is for a vintage, U.S. Hames Mfg. Co. harness yoke or horse collar mirror. Hames Mfg. Co. operated from 1902 to 1912, making harness, saddles, and other carriage hardware. They changed their name to USHCO Mfg. Co. when they began making chassis for vehicles.This yoke was fitted with a mirror, which has the date December 1976 on the back.The piece measures 30\" from tip to tip and approximately 21\" at the widest point across.The collar is in good, vintage condition with normal signs of use and wear around buckles and corners. The leather is scuffed and worn in some places. It is also dusty from being in storage but the leather and wood is in good condition - no cracks, tears, or splinters. The rope on the interior of the piece is frayed in one place - see pictures. The mirror is not cracked or chipped and the silver back is flawless.
