VINTAGE UNDERWRITERS RARESEA SNAIL CERAMIC PORTABLE TV TABLE LAMP

MID 20th CENTURY?

Unusual and very pretty, Under Writers Laboratoriesworking portable table top lamp circa around 1950's?In the shape of a Sea Snail, it is approximately6 3/4" tall x 8 1/2" across with a 4 3/8" x 4" base. TheSea Snail isiridized Pink and the base is gold gilt. Thegold gilt accenting has alittle wear. Crazing on the bottom of the piece by the ON / Off Switch, withno chips, repairsor breaks.(See Photographs) Inside is plain white and dirty. I believe this is theoriginal plug and cord. I believe this is the original felt still onthe bottom.The on/off turn switch on the back still can be turned on and off with no problems. Lamp works fine.
