This is a vintage Waterman’s Ideal fountain pen with a 14ktgold nib. I believe the model iscalled a Dauntless, which were manufactured from around 1942-1953, though itmay also be a Stalwart.
The pen has been serviced and writes smoothly withflex. I am not an expert atwriting with a flex pen, but I have uploaded a picture that shows some of theline variation you can achieve.
Overall, the pen is in very nice condition and is in goodworking order. The barrel of thepen has some very minor scratches, but still holds a nice shine. The gold coloring has started to comeoff of the lever and cap clip. There are no cracks.
The clip of the fountain pen says “Watermans.” The barrel reads “Waterman’s Ideal FountainPen – Made in Canada.” Finally, the nib reads: “Waterman’s Ideal 14KT Canada 2A.”
