Thank you for taking the time to view my listing.Having had my work compared to the best in the business, big or small,large name or other; and the restoration work and custom work i do; i can guarantee that you\'ll be delighted with the finish work. It really is top notch work, and takes a long time and a lot of practice to achieve.Most of my work is custom painting and refinishing; but will get things up when i can, and this is a great guitar; indeed i am struggling to not keep this one!!This really is a brilliant guitar and looks and feels just as it ought to.*Two piece off center seam alder body made to a 62 strat patternand then hand profiled making them all that bit different as the originals were.Body is about 4lbs in weight, and good quality alder Full cellulose finish sprayed in an early 60\'s sunburst; that is very thin as you\'ll see from the pictures and is sunk into the grain; and feels great. A lovely body. This is also cut for a humbucker at the bridge should you have any need for one!*The neck on this is beautiful, and i\'ve nicknamed the guitar tiger because of the maple! It\'s an old NOSMIJFender neck, 7and 1/4 inch vintage profile, feels very comfortable and i\'ve got a nice low action it- a vintage neck profile will go low if you spend time with the setup; and it is a gorgeous and quite rare flame maple. I say rare as they are more scarce than those that are not flamed. Its not overdone, just the right amount of subtle shift. I have also reliced the fingerboard a bit as well! Clay dots of course, oh, and yes, i have made the rosewood and maple contour more \'vintage correct\'!*Pickups are ones from an old MIJstrat and they are actually very nice. But i can replace them with anything you want at cost if that makes any difference. They sound good thru a half way reasonable amp; but an upgrade might be needed if you really wanted the most out of them.*CTSpots and a vintage repro paper in oil capacitor, switchcraft 5 way switch and cloth wire throughout- except for the pickups themselves which are alas plastic coated..*Plastics are old covers from an old strat copy and naturally aged,and then some of it a bit more forced into that yellow. They are deliberately mismatched. Find a genuine strat with the exact same colour on every knob and cover and i\'ll be kinda surprised. The \'green\' guard is a nice match against the sunburst, not the pea green yucky thing so often used; and i tried three or four before i found a colour i was happy with and then set about ageing it.It looks very close to a nitrate guard.
*Tremolo is a USA62 Reissue, with the smaller fender fender stamp. Nice tremolo, and nicely aged by time
So there it is..It\'s a fabulous looking, very convincing guitar. Feels great, plays great (though minor adjustments will have to be made to any guitar to set it just right for your own playing style); and one i know that the winner will be thrilled with.Any questions please ask />
