Vintage/Limited 1980\'s VOX 125 Lead Amp Head. This tube amp produces 125 watts from four EL34s.The Vox V125 Lead is a 125 watt amplifier that Vox produced only from 1981-1983 to take some market share away from Marshall who pretty much had a monopoly on the 100+watt arena rock setups at the time. It has 2 inputs (normal and brilliant). As well as the master volume control, the pre-amp section has two controllable gain stages - a volume knob and a sensitivity knob. It has a 5 band British EQ (close to center doesn\'t do much, but the further you go away, the more exaggerated it gets). Known for their unique shapes and innovative electronics, Vox became a staple of the early British rock bands. At the 1980 British Music Fair, the VOX V125 was launched. This is basically a modified AC120 in the form of a head that drives 2 x 12\" speaker cabinets with open backs. Orignial VOX emblem is in mint condition, as is 125 LEAD sticker. All knobs are in excellent working condition.One owner, purchased directly from VOX in England.
