This is a vintage German 1 Day Cuckoo Clock with original Black Forest Movement Made in Germany! All parts appear to be original. This clock came from the estate of a gentleman who actually hired a professional who came to his house and maintained them and kept them in good workingcondition.

It is always possible that this is a \"Married\" clock which means the clock movement was changed out later but this does not apparently hurt the value and I honestly don\'t see any reason to think that this is the case here...just trying to be as descriptive as we can since we are not experts. Please see all photos and judge for yourself.
Both chains engage when gently pulled to wind and you hear the clicks on both as intended. The Cuckoo Bird works great as well.We had this clock running in our house for at least a week.Good and clean but like most clocks with any age and use on them, the movement will probably need cleaned and oiled at some point. When you look in the back, the bellows look good with minimal wear. Both bellows sound great as does the chime on the back. Door fits snug as intended and all screws and fittings appear to be original. The doorpanel has a thin, shallow piece missing as you can see in the photos...doesn\'t effect anything!When the clock hits the hour, the bird cuckoos as intended on all 12 hours and the chimes sound as well. At the half hour, thebird chirps one time with a chime.The blue bird\'s door open and closes as intended, the bird moves out a little and then bobs up and down. As you can see in the picture of the bottom, the chains have already been wired together to help ensure that they don\'t slip off of their gears during storage or shipping. Just simply untwist and remove the wire after hanging on your wall. This is just an all around wonderful clock.
