Beautiful Antique Japanese Inlaid Wood Marquetry Tiered Sewing Box. The top features a detailed scene of a waterfront home, a boat and Mt Fuji. On the front: inlaid wood Bird and Flowers. The top opens to reveal matching silk pincushions. There are three more compartments beneath that. Box is unmarked. The closed box measures 4.5\" tall x 6\" wide x 4\" deep. Very good vintage condition. Clean, no damage to wood, minimal wear to surface, has original silk pincushions inside. The hinges are slightly loosey-goosey and the two top doors don\'t quite line up, but adjusting hinges may correct that (will leave that to buyer). There are several tiny holes in the wood at the bottom-- possible insect damage?-- but no insects are present. Please see ALL photos and read entire description before placing a offer.
