VTG Federal Sign System SAFETY FIRST Railroad Electric LANTERN Patent 1914

This is a Vintage Railroad Electric Lantern that Was made by the Federal Sign System and has a Patent date of 1914 on the top.

Measures aprox 14 1/2\" tall with the handle up and 8 1/2\" with the handle down and the cage at the base is aprox 6 1/4\" diameter.

A very nice piece of Railroad history and a great addition to your collection. It has small scratches and scuffs all around, cracks to the rubber type coating on the handle, some minor rusting here and there, some tearing to the label on the inside, it is missing some parts on the inside-so it is not a functional lantern and is more of a collectible piece.

Onall Vintage electrical items I sell, I have done normal testing on the item and will tell you if it worked when it was tested, but I make no guarantees on how long the item will work for, as they are old.

It is your responsibility to make sure these are safe for your home, old cords can sometimes be brittle or frayed & some are not polarized or have electrical mechanical switch problems due to wear and over use. To be absolutely sure they are safe, you should replace them. Also if you are planning on doing any Hard wiring, it is advisable that you get a qualified electrician or person that is skilled in wiring to do the job.

I will not give Refunds or Partial Refunds unless the item is Grossly Misrepresented.I will not pay for return shipping as this is up to the buyer.

I do not control the shipping prices and I only charge what they charge me and a small amount for packing materials. I also am not in control of the shipping once it leaves my hands and the shipper has it, I cannot control how long it will take or what happens to it during transit.
