Stunning vintagepair ofbrass Chippendale style andirons by HARVIN BRASS Co. and VIRGINIA METALCRAFTERS.Each andiron is hallmarked on the cast iron hanks \"HARVIN\" \"CW VM\". This is a mark of Colonial Williamsburg collection.These andirons are exceptionally high quality exact reproduction of antique 18th century Chippendale style andirons from Colonial Williamsburg.The VIRGINIA METALCRAFTERS Company made these exact copies of high quality fireplace brass items until its closing in 2005.
They have typical cabriole legs with ball and claw on the bottom.They are very tall (25\") and heavy.Excellent craftsmanship.The shanks are made of cast iron.The andirons are very heavy and sturdy (each andiron weighs 17 lbs.).Each andiron is 25\" tall and 13”\" wide.The total length is 22\" (from the front to the end of the cast iron shanks).
