Pioneer SA-8100 Amp & TX-8100 AM/FM Tuner
If you\'re looking at this ad, you probably know a lot about this system already and are serious about quality vintage audio. The original owner got them while in the military in SE Asia. I bought them from him years ago and they have been in climate-ideal storage at my house most of the time since!
This pair is in incredible, nearly-new condition. You won\'t find a nicer set anywhere - with some of the most beautiful wood-finished cases you\'ll ever see on any audio equipment, regardless of age.
The SA-8100 amplifier was built in March 1974, which (I believe) makes it a later version with slightly higher power output than early versions (around 44 watts/channel). Has just about every capability you\'d want in an amp.
The matching TX-8100 tuner was built in August 1973. You won\'t find many tuners that have more features than this one.
Controls on both are quiet and static-free. All lamps work (tuner dial is particularly beautiful when lit up!). Exteriors are cleaned and detailed (not that they needed much to get them that way!). Interiors are dust free. And the sound is just what you\'d expect from early Pioneer.
