This is a US Army Air Corps gun camera, Type N-6 The Lackner Co. that was used during World WarII. This type of camera would\'ve been mounted on the wings of fighter aircraft and provided a great deal of intelligence and training material.
Consisting of heavy metal construction, The base has 4 studs that would allow the camera to be secured to the wing of the aircraft. Much of the film footage viewed in documentaries today, originated from cameras like the one Listed here.
There was a Kodak Kodachrome 40 Film Type A-Process K-14 Film Cartridge inside this Camera when I acquired it. I do not know if it contains any images, or if it is blank. The film cartridge will be included with the Camera in this listing.
