This is a World War II trench art stein made from I believe a 4\" artillery shell.  It is copper or brass I think as there are some areas of blue/green oxidation. There are some dings and dents from age. It is engraved

INCIRLIK CDI TURKEY. 

It measures 4-1/16\" across the top, 3-15/16\" across the bottom, 6-1/8\" across with the handle, and is 5-1/8\" high. Please see the pictures for details.  A very unique piece with a lot if history if it could talk.
