DutchSallander clock ofmassive wood. It contains

an 8-daymovement and it chimes on the half andfull hour

(chimesbeautifully). It\'sweightdriven by two brass

weights.As you cansee this clock hasamoonphase,

so you always can see theposition of the moon.This

clock in superb condition, thewood and the movement

(theclock worksperfectly). Of course the clock has normal

traces of age. Theheight of the clock is

about 52 centimeterand the width is22 centimeter. In

inches: the height is 20\" inches, thewidth is 8\" inches.

The pendulum has theform of asun.

The clock is made in the 1960s.The Sallanderclocks

weremadein Salland, which is a region in

theNetherlands. Their design istypical for this region.

Brief History:

The clock is made by the best clock company in Holland, namely thefamousWarmink company.

These type of clocks were producedbetween 1950 and1970.

The company which was located in Almelo,the Netherlands, was foundedin 1929 and produced quality clocks.

However, after 75 years in business andcraftmanship dating back tothe 17th century the Warmink family closed thedoors of theircompany foreover.

So the clocks that exist today will never bemanufactured again.
