Full-size black chased hard rubber lever-filler, 13.7 cm long, closed, nickel-plated trim. Original riveted clip is missing, replaced with a contemporary nickel-plated slip-on clip made by an Ohio company. Imprints and chasing worn but all present, moderate even fading to the hard rubber cap and barrel. Original color, has not been reblackened with dye or chemicals.
Very long-tined #2 Ideal Waterman nib, 14K solid gold, catalogued for artist\'s use,with an extremely fine tip and springy flex allowing \"Line widths [to] range from filament width to 1/32 of an inch or more.\" Not by any means a \"wet noodle\", as this nib is made to have a lot of snapback and tactile response -- a special-purpose design.
PS Note lightly-scratched initials on the side of the cap next to the vent hole. You really have to look to see them, but I\'ve taken a photo in raking light to maximize their visibility.
We have over 25 years of experience in vintage pen restoration and tuning. Unless otherwise noted, our pens have been fully reconditioned and are ready to write. Authenticity is guaranteed.
Writing samples are on Rhodia paper with a 5mm grid. The samples are done with the actual pen listed, dipped in Quink blue-black ink. We will not exaggerate the safe range of flex: a nib that is regularly pushed to its limits may develop cracks within a matter of months or even weeks. Our samples are all done with a light touch, flexing the nib only to the degree that it can sustain in regular, long-term use.

David has been buying, selling, and writing about old writing instruments since the late 1980s. He has been on since 1997, the same year he launched one of the first vintage pen collecting websites.
