This RD Instruments Model 1575 is in very good condition.
This is the tube tester made by Hickok for Western Electric
and RD Instruments.
It is the same as the Western Electric model KS-15750 -L1The # 83 tube has been replaced with diodes.The bias meter is a little finicky and floats around a bit
when biasing a tube in the one volt range.
It settles down and works fine when testing tubes that use
two or more bias volts. You can see a #45 tube being tested in the last photo.This model 1575 comes with the instruction manual,
testing set up data and supplementary test data for obsolete tubes.
Also included is the CA-5 adapter for testing tubes like 7868,
6LQ6 and 6KD6. You can see a 6KD6 being tested in the photos.Also included are some Hickok socket savers,an extra # 81 bulb
plate and grid test leads,and a CRT test adapter. This R&D 1575 is in working condition
but will need calibration or service.
