William H. Murdock F style Mandolin -Made in Louisville, Kentucky 1986

Murdock made a lot of violins, guitars, mandolins around Louisville. My dad knew him very well, both being luthiers. Back then my dad and Murdock both made their first mandolin around the same time in Louisville. Almost 15 years after Murdock died we bought some of his estate. This piece originally I\'m not sure it was finished. My dad tobacco nitro burst the mandolin and I had The guys who do the custom inlays for Gibson put Murdock his logo on the headstock. I\'m a studio musician in nashville. I played this mandolin a lot in Nashville. The pickup I can\'t get to work, can be easily removed in less than a min. The nitro is beautiful all crackled like an old gibson. Beautiful tobacco burst like the old Loars. I would recommend a pro setup.
