Here is what I believed to be an antique wood doll that was carved with jointed limbs. A doll collector wrote me that it isn\'t an antique. I really don\'t know - the carving style looks old as does the wood. She is painted somewhat in the style of a Hitty doll, but she is too tall (approximately 8.75\"). Her head, neck, shoulders, lower arms, and lower legs are painted. I believe she must have had a dress at one time which would explain the odd paint job. Her arms can go up and down as well as sideways. Her hands are like little cups with thumbs. She is marked on her back with WHC. CAPE COD. I do not see anything broken, but the pictures will help you determine it. No odors! Please look carefully at the photos for the best idea condition and design. Great for a collector or carver!
