This listing is for a vintage BATTERY OPERATED BUBBLE BLOWING LION w/box as shown. It is in mint condition. Colors are clear & bright. Tin litho is nice & clean. The tail is a reproduction rubber tail which easily bends and will not break as most of the original ones did. When the switch is turned on the correct 4 actions work as follows: (1) Head turns from right to left, (2) Eyes light up, (3) Bubble wand in mouth moves up & down, (4) Air blows out of the jet in the mouth to produce bubbles, good air pressure. Mouth and wand do not show any corrosion or residue from use. Very clean. Battery compartment is mint as are the connections. The original box is included. It is in complete and in very excellent condition. It does have a single clear tape repair on the inside corner of the lid. Nice for display or storage of this charming toy. Also included is the original bottle of bubble solution with the \"Modern Toy\" & \"JAPAN\" trademark on the bottle. This is a \"MADE IN JAPAN\" toy listed in Don Hultzman\'s book, COLLECTOR\'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed on page 36. It is a 1950\'s era toy made by the M-T, Modern Toys Co. ( Masudaya Co. ) It has a rarity of 4 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $300.00 in C-10 condition without the box. This would make an nice addition to any collector of B.O. toys. Displays very well. Perfect addition to your circus, clown or carnival toy collection.
