This sword is marked on the blade, but the words are hidden by part of the handle. I can only make out SOLINGEN. I was told that it was a German WW I sword but I am no expert. The sword is 41\" long and the blade is 36 1/2\" long. The blade has some scratches from use. The handle and the scabbard have some rust. It has not been cleaned.   (Please see photos for more details).
