Condition: Blade is marked NO 1005. Blade is heavily darkened due to age. Blade has been sharpened. Towards the top of the Blade, several areas have been nicked. Wood Handle is scratched & nicked. There are little hairline fractures in the wood, but they appear to be surface and not deep. Tip of Leather Sheath is Brass and has an open tip--as I looked at other photos online of the same item, the tip seems to be made like this--every one has an open tip (see photo). Leather Sheath is cracked in areas and there are areas where some of the top layer of Leather has peeled off. Leather needs polishing/repair. Brass on Sheath needs cleaning/polishing. Blade & Sheath haveNOT been cleaned and need cleaning. Like all Antiques, may still need cleaning and/or servicing. Any defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as \"described\".
