This liner was installed in a M1917 Helmet and then removed. It does NOT have any damage per say, but has been aged slightly with the use of brown shoe polish, to make the leather look older,the felt/ cheese cloth backed head pad has had a light coat of spray adhesive on it to allow to adhere to the top of the helmet. There are two spots of glue, one shown, yellow dot, to help keep the liner folded in,

This liner was bought, then \"peened\" into a M1917 helmet by me. If you want to know how to install the liner, look up \"how to install a M1917 head liner\" onU-tube and a man will show you how.

This kit contains all the necessary items to install the liner into your helmet. The chrome split rivets shafts are a little longer than the originals, so I tossed in a couple of washers to cover the smaller rivet head and longer shaft. They can be snipped off.The copper rivet is to be peened into the top of the helmet. I tossed in two because you just never know when one will get away from you. I showed a picture of the end of the chin strap in which one rivet was removed to remove the liner from the helmet. You have more than enough parts to install into your helmet.
