You are offerding on a beautiful example of the British \"South African Pattern\" Pith Helmet. The Helmet is well marked with the Makers Mark, Date and Size 63/4 center stamped and England Stamped on the dome. The liner is Broad Arrow marked. Photos show all markings. Rear brim has 2 names on it. Again see photos. No chinstrap. I acquired this item from the estate of R.T. Grey who served with the 2nd RTR in North Africa and Italy. Note: After the fall of Tobruk in the Spring of 1942, large stocks of these helmets fell into Axis hands and were used by German and Italian forces. See the Concord Book on Axis Forces Illustration.
